THE Corsa Lite TV ad campaign has been voted among the top five TV ads by tweens. Why do you think the ads are so popular?

Because dey is lankest excellent and funny. And because me and my brother Raj2 is very, very beautiful.

How was the ad conceived?

Rajl & Raj2 was conceived by dere mummy and estranged daddy in a hotel room in Ballito. We still don't know our daddy. If you have seen him, please tell him we is famous.

Has the popularity of the ad surprised you? How do you measure the success of the ad?

You know da ads is a success when you is sitting in a Jacuzzi with your Cristal and your ladies and everyone is saying Ello Dere Ladies and when Valentines Day becomes better known as Wellingtons Day.

Also, you know dey is a success when you have to take da radio ads off da air cos all da cars is run out and dey can't make dem quick enough.

For Real!

How do you ensure continuity with the brand? What happens if the people behind the original concept were no longer involved?

We is Raj... no one else is Raj, no one else can really be being Raj.

What elements of the youth market do you tap into for this campaign, for example, their sense of humour?

For a zample? Yes you are right!

Why is TV such a good medium for this particular campaign?

Coz not everybody is having a big TV and not lots of people is having a small TV. But lots of people is having a medium TV.

Did you purposefully target the tween segment to start building brand loyalty or was it just by luck that this market has responded so well?

No. Like Gary Player says... "Da more I practise, da luckier I get."

Can brand loyalty for a car be established at such a young age? Do you think SA kids are able to influence their parents when it comes to what car to buy?

Yes. No.

How do you keep the Corsa Lite brand fresh?

With one of dem Christmas tree smellies you is hangin on da rearview mirror.

What lies in the future for the brand in SA?

No lies. Only da truth.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
